Taiwan Fuxing Lin Yizheng XOne-Forty Chen Kaixiang: From corporate training to holding photo exhibitions, I hope every cross-border journey is wonderful and worthwhile Two years ago, the largest and longest-running photo exhibition of immigrant workers in Taiwan was held in Pier-2, Kaohsiung. This photo exhibition called "Transition: Taiwan" is a cross-border cooperation between One-Forty and Taiwan Fuxing. Through photographic works and installation art, it presents the stories of migrant workers in Southeast Asia, and takes exhibitors to experience a transnational journey from Southeast Asia to Taiwan. journey of. "'Transition: Taiwan' is the largest photography exhibition held by One-Forty since its establishment. After the first exhibition in Songyan, Taipei, we were wondering if we could continue the exhibition and expand its influence, and we received strong support from Forty Taiwan. "One-Forty founder Chen Kaixiang recalled. The fate of One-Forty's cooperation with Taiwan Fuxing, this exhibition is not the starting point. Lin Yizheng, cultural director of Taiwan Fuxing Cultural and Educational Foundation, said with a smile, "Many years ago, I made a call to One-Forty." Cross-border cooperation creates many "firsts" Taiwan Fuxing, located in Kaohsiung, was founded in 1957. Its products mainly produce security systems and door closers and locks. It has nearly 1,300 employees, including nearly 200 migrant workers. Taiwan Fuxing adheres to the corporate core value of "establishing a career with sincerity and people-oriented", and treats people equally and respects and tolerates regardless of nationality or status, so that immigrant workers and local employees have established a deep friendship. Based on Taiwan’s law that stipulates that immigrant workers must leave the country once the 12-year limit is reached, Lin Yizheng had the idea of “can we do more for these colleagues” every time we parted with the immigrant workers one by one. Such thoughts prompted her to make that phone call to One-Forty, which has long devoted itself to immigrant worker education. In 2019, the two parties launched the first cooperation in education and training programs. One-Forty used its past experience in providing classes for Indonesian family migrant workers to plan a one-year Chinese class and financial management class for Filipino migrant workers in Fuxing, Taiwan. In addition to allowing migrant workers to have good care while living in Taiwan, they can also accumulate business and language skills, allowing them to develop skills so that they can live a better life after returning home. "The cooperation with Taiwan Fuxing has created many "firsts" for One-Forty." Chen Kaixiang said that this is the first time that One-Forty has extended its tentacles to areas other than Taipei for training, and it is also the first time to meet For immigrant workers of different nationalities and occupations, the service form is different from the previous single case, and the target is a large number of enterprise employees. Because of Taiwan Fuxing's plan, One-Forty has accelerated the progress of teaching materials for transnational languages, started to compile Filipino teaching materials, and trained Filipino teachers. Currently, there is a complete curriculum plan for Filipino migrant workers. All dreams are created equal——Migrant workers, the dream of being cared about "I was very moved by the sparkling eyes in their eyes during class." Lin Yizheng talked about his migrant workers who were full of confidence. They spontaneously came to class and study after work. They are a group of hopeful and promising people for the future. Ideas, people with dreams to pursue. In addition to being a laborer, some people dream of becoming a painter, and some people want to meet their father whom they haven’t seen for many years. In the courses designed by One-Forty, not only learn skills, but also leave Many times, I have a good talk about life and dreams with migrant workers, and use post-it notes to spell out my ideal future. "In this process, we can get closer to the hearts of migrant workers," said Chen Kaixiang. These dreams have changed and expanded the cooperation plan between the two parties. Taiwan Fuxing started to implement the "Dream Realization Project", so that the collaged dreams have the opportunity to be realized.
